I was attracted by the buttoned collar, but the fit was what won me over and made my buy 4 more extracurricular shirts a week later. It is athletic without being boxy. The sleeves hit at about the mid-arm, which I like. I'm 5'10" and 185 and I got a medium. But I think I would wear it down to 170ish (if I get my butt out of bed to go to the gym).
